Letter below to the Parish Council received from Marcol Industrial Investments and Bedfordia regarding the possible new site at Twinwoods.

Dear Councillor
Further to correspondence sent to you in April 2017, I am writing to let you know that Marcol Industrial Investments LLP (Marcol) and Bedfordia Developments Ltd (Bedfordia) have today [Wednesday 7th June 2017) set up a website with further information on TwinWoods, one of the new settlement options put forward to Bedford Borough Council.

The website includes all the information that has been submitted so far to the Council and is designed to provide interested stakeholders with easy access to this information, as well as a point of contact for any further enquiries or questions.  The website will also be update at regular intervals, as and when further submissions are made.

Please feel free to share with your constituents and colleagues.

We believe that a new settlement will make a significant contribution to meeting Bedford’s development needs. A new settlement can provide new housing together with employment space and other facilities and services, which may otherwise be required to be accommodated in existing villages and towns across the Borough and potentially leading to over-development in those areas.

A new settlement can also fund and deliver much needed new infrastructure and services rather than creating additional pressure on existing infrastructure and services.

In addition, we strongly believe that a new settlement can provide real solutions to current challenges faced by residents and maximise the opportunities to Bedford and the Borough, beyond simply providing more homes and jobs.

We strongly believe that TwinWoods is the best, most sustainable and innovative new settlement option for the Borough.
